Biography

John Nowak is a locally based artist and film maker - a supporter and volunteer worker at Bridgend Farmhouse since 2014. His aim was to record through film, photography and audio recordings, progress towards the restoration of the Farmhouse building and its ultimate transformation in 2017 into a community hub.

Recently, as part of the Heritage Lottery funded Place, Work and Folk project team, John did some research into the history of the Bridgend area resulting in the production of the “Bridgend” history film. He has also collated and prepared historical material for the Edinburgh Council’s Boundary Extension Centennial “ReDrawing Edinburgh” Commemoration project.
