This flag was captured by the 2nd Regiment Lothian and Border House on 24th April 1943. The 2nd Regiment Lothians and Border Horse embarked on troopships for Operation Torch towards the end of 1942. The regiment toured in the North African Campaign and then proceeded to tour Italy until the war ended.
