Description
A view along Royal terrace in Edinburgh. The neo-classical buildings have arched windows and doorways, and are separated from the pavement by iron railings. Some have balconies and other shave columned facades. Two cars are parked in the road.

Royal Terrace in Edinburgh is situated to the north of Calton Hill. It was part of W. H. Playfair's Calton Scheme, which also includes Regent Terrace and Calton Terrace. The terrace's grand houses face north, looking out over Leith to the Firth of Forth. Building began in the 1820's but was not completed until around 1860.
