Page thirty-seven of 'Flora's Feast', Tritonia
Description
A naked male figure carrying a floral spear emerges from some leaves to blow a horn made from red tritonia, thus signalling the coming of winter. The accompanying text reads:
"That reddening on the Triton's spear,
Foretells the waning of the year".

The use in this image of a floral horn in order to foretell the waning of the year brings to mind the daffodil trumpets at the beginning, therefore providing a pleasing symmetry to the story.
