In a similar vein as the dog joining the Daffodils on a hunt (page 6), the Marigold is depicted here alongside a sheep. Her attire and accessory confirm the intended agricultural connotations. This serves to emphasise the bounty of the natural world free from machines, as well as contributing to the sense of co-operation and community in the garden.
