Title
No. 7. (cont.) Tired, an illustrated page from 'A Day in a Child's Life'
Description
The music - the melody line plus accompaniment - for the seventh piece, Tired, continues. And at its end, in the lower right-hand corner, stand two young girls in early 19th century dress wearing aprons and bonnets. One carries a basket, and behind them is a fence, a low moon, long grass and an umbelliferous, cow parsley-like plant.
The words are as follows:
'Soft is the grass, with the moss peeping through,
Just like my bed;
Daisies are gazing up into the blue,
Over my head.
Oh, I'm so slee...'
