"The Japanese word, Ke-soku, inserted in the margin, signifies a Teal, but it may be stated on the authority of some eminent ornithologist that this bird is an Anas, but of uncertain species. The Japanese notes describe the bird as a female, and give a few particulars relating to colour of plumage..."
