The theatre was simply a bed in a room with the blinds pulled down to keep out the sunshine.
Leith Hospital was situated off Mill lane in Leith. It was founded in the mid nineteenth century by the Edinburgh and Leith Humane Society. It served as a general hospital for all patients as well as having an accident unit. The hospital was closed in 1987.
