On the reverse side is the menu for Society's Annual Dinner in 1920 at the Council Chambers in Leith. They had Chablis and oysters to start, Moet et Chandon Champagne with beef creams and mushroom main course and after dessert, liqueurs and coffee to finish.

The Society of High Constables of Leith is one of four societies in Scotland, the others being Edinburgh, Holyrood and Perth. Their duties are ceremonial now, but they acted as a police force when they were founded in 1563, with the Leith society working against piracy and smuggling as well as general crime.
