This 110 piece puzzle features a photographic portrait of Sir Douglas Haig (later Earl Haig), commander of the British Expeditionary Force on the Western Front for much of World War 1. An image of a military leader seems an unlikely subject for a child's jigsaw to today's eyes, but during World War 1 children knew the names and biographies of all the key military figures.
