The song sheet cover is a striking illustration containing the three Royal Coat of Arms of the United Kingdom, with a sword running through the centre and a crown placed at the top, all held together within the shape of a shield. The illustration makes full use of red, greens and blue with 3D style letters of the title The United Kingdom Quadrille placed on top, against a green wreath. The shield bears the Royal Arms of England, three gold lions against a red background, the Royal Arms of Scotland, a red lion against a gold background and the Royal Arms of Ireland, a gold harp against an azure background.
The blue edging contains two mottos in old French and Latin that encircle the coat of Arms. 'Honi soit qui mal y pense' meaning 'Shame upon him who thinks evil of it' is from the 'Order of the Garter' and has appeared on the Royal Coat of Arms for the United Kingdom since the eighteenth century. The motto 'Nemo me impune lacessit' is taken from Royal coat of arms of the Kingdom of Scotland and means 'No-one wounds me with impunity'.
Robert Home & Co, an Edinburgh lithographic company operating from 1859-1872 printed the illustration though the original artist is unknown.
