Henry Robb Ltd was the last shipyard working in Leith. It started in 1918, grew over the years as Henry Robb bought more shipyards, and launched its last ship in 1983. By this time Henry Robb had built about 500 mostly small or medium-sized ships, and repaired many others, especially during the Second World War.
The text says:
'From the Clyde he came
To make his name
In the Yards by the shores of Forth.
He scoured the earth
To fill the berth
With orders for ships of worth.
In grim days of wars
He repairs their scars,
E'en a battleship sublime!
And you bet your bob
If it's Henry Robb
The work will be done on time!
C.C.'
