The depiction of the laurels is similar to that of Baby's Own Aesop in the fact that it uses classical motifs; however, Crane's style is now simpler, with a plain background and long flowing lines. It is important to note that Crane wrote out the text of this poem, like in his other works, rather than having them typeset. The artist and the craft are important in fundamental elements of his work.
