In this design for decorating a ceiling, Dresser combined the passion for Moresque patterns that his master Owen Jones had, with his own studies on botany. In this way, he created a very original pattern that evokes the Oriental world while the single elements used, plants and flowers, are very familiar to contemporary audience.
