A detailed view of the window of the Hall of the Two Sisters at the Alhambra. Jones was captivated by the use of colours at the Alhambra. He says that all colours used throughout the palace are found in this window, blended with a joyful effect. This relates directly to his principle no. 22, which says that the colours used should be so blended that when seeing the objects at a distance, they should present a neutralized bloom.

All illustrations in this volume are attributed to Jones and his sometime travelling partner Jules Goury, a Welsh architect who died of Cholera during their six month stay at The Alhambra.
