Wardrop's Court lies to the north of the Lawnmarket in Edinburgh. The open courtyard was formed as part of the urban improvements instigated by Sir Patrick Geddes in the 1890s. The 17th century tenement Blackie House stands on the north side of the court. It was converted into student accommodation by Geddes but is no longer owned by the university.
