This photograph shows the overflow system of Rosebery Reservoir draining water into stone built water channels. Two small metal bridges stand over the water and a stone work culvert pipe protrudes from the banking in the background. A man in the foreground is fly fishing.

Rosebery reservoir is a small body of water which stands near Gorebridge in Midlothian. Opened in 1880 it is a compensation reservoir which collects surface water from the Moorfoot Hills. It is mostly used today for pleasure fishing and is the habitat of rainbow trout, pike and perch.
