Annie "Nannie" Rose Ritchie married George Scotland, who worked as the manager of a coffee plantation in Coorg/Nilgiri Hills in South India. After her marriage, "Nannie" joined her husband in India, where they welcomed three daughters: Mary Rose (1929), Elizabeth Ritchie (1931) and Anne born just before the outbreak of WWII (1939?).
