This is Jessie McEwan Watt who after divorcing her husband, Henry Liang Watt returned to Edinburgh with their children David and Mollie, and set up a new home at 59 Raeburn Place in Stockbridge.
During the 1920s, Jessie moved from Stockbridge to become the housekeeper for widowed George Sanderson. Aligning with the custom of the time, Jessie and George married and resided at 35 Melville Street until George's death in the mid 1930s.
Jessie's son David Watt married Catherine "Cassie" Richardson Ritchie (pictured right), daughter of clockmaker Leone "Leo" Levi Ritchie and his wife Mary Sim Ritchie (nee Hill) on 10 July 1926.
