Annie "Nannie" Rose Ritchie (b. 1902) was the second born child of Leone "Leo" Levi Ritchie and Mary Sim Ritchie (nee Hill).
Nannie finished her education at Portobello High School before beginning work at the family clock shop at 25 Leith. She worked for the family business until she married George Scotland (1899 - 1959) a few years after Cassie's marriage in 1926.
George Scotland was the manager of a coffee plantation in Coorg/Nilgiri Hills in South India. After Nannie and George's marriage, the couple moved to India, where they had three daughters: Mary Rose (b. 1929), Elizabeth Ritchie (b. 1931) and Anne, who was born just before the outbreak of WWII.
