Description
The front cover of the lunch menu for the opening of the International Festival in 1952 is decorated with a picture from about 1810 of Edinburgh Castle on its rocky mound above a street scene. Above the picture is stamped in gold an heraldic symbol or coat of arms. The festival was opened by the Duke of Edinburgh, and many delegates and dignitaries attended the opening and dinner from all over the world.
