The 'Stone of Remembrance' stands under the arches of the City Chambers on the High Street in Edinburgh. It is a simple granite block bearing the inscription "Their Name Liveth for Evermore". It was paid for by public subscription to commemorate the citizens of Edinburgh who died in the First World War.
