Corpach is a small village which lies on the north side of Loch Linnhe and a few minutes away from Ben Nevis, the highest peak in the British Isles standing at 4,409 ft. The Caledonian Canal begins here, it was built to avoid ships having to go around the dangerous west of Scotland shipping routes. The ship in the picture is believed to be a Hutcheson MacBraynes ship possibly the Gondolier but more likely the Mountaineer.
