Oban is a town on the western side of Scotland within the region of Argyll and Bute. The town stands on Oban Bay, a crescent shaped bay in the Firth of Lorn. The island holds one of the main ferry ports where ships can sail from Oban on to the isles of Lismore, Colonsay, Islay, Coll, Tiree, to Craignure on Mull, to Castlebay on Barra and to Lochboisdale on South Uist. In this picture is a view of the bay itself and the hills in the background.
