The well preserved St Catherine's window is part of Dryburgh Abbey, situated near the River Tweed and St Boswells in Roxburghshire. The abbey was established in 1150 by white-clad Premonstratensian canons. They were invited to this idyllic spot from Alnwick Priory, Northumberland, by Hugh de Moreville. Both Sir Walter Scott and Field Marshall Earl Haig are buried in its grounds
