Description
An image of women selling fish from boxes in the Lawnmarket. Two women have their wares displayed at the edge of the pavement whilst a potential customer stands above them. A horse-drawn cart travels along the cobblestone road and other people are on the street. A lamppost is on the other side of the road in front of shops and tenement buildings. The Camera Obscura or Outlook Tower with its dome can be seen on the left-hand side on its site at Castlehill.
