Biography
The daughter of Mary Gould Brett, a respected animal painter, Molly Brett was born in 1902. Encouraged by her mother to paint from life, Molly enrolled on a correspondence course in illustration. One of her first commissions was to illustrate works by Enid Blyton. Later, she went on to write and illustrate books for Medici with whom she was associated for sixty years. Her work has been enjoyed by generations of children and includes many greetings cards, post cards and pictures. Molly Brett died in 1990.
