Teletubbies number blocks

Description

Four fabric coloured toy cubes contained in a clear plastic case. The plastic is edged with cotton and has a green handle. The case has velcro fastenings at the front. Inside the case are four soft cubes all printed with pictures of animals, toys and Teletubbies. All of the cubes are numbered and the cube labelled number four contains a musical chime.

Teletubbies is a children's television programme aimed at pre-school children. It was first shown in 1997 and was created by Anne Wood for Ragdoll Productions. The main characters were four Teletubbies known as Tinky Winky, La La, Po and Dipsy. The four Teletubbies simulated the behaviour of young children. The show consisted of the characters running around, laughing, making noises and playing together. The Teletubbies all had televisions in their tummies which would show a short film of a real child doing something. The sun would rise over Teletubby land and was represented by the face of a child who would giggle and laugh at the Teletubbies adventures.
