Description
A group of children with painted faces and carrying placards are standing on the steps at the entrance to St Andrew's House on Regent Road. Their banners read, "Save our Services, Save Wester Hailes". The woman standing at the back of the group is Betty Glasgow. The decorative stone carved emblem over the doorway is partially visible above them.

The children were sent as a delegation to the Secretary of State for Scotland to request funding for services in Wester Hailes.
Betty Glasgow is a local resident of Wester Hailes. She is a member of the Wester Hailes Representative Council and has over thirty years involvement in the regeneration of the area.
