Description
A street of tall tenement buildings runs into the distance. the buildings have had numerous additions and extensions added to the original structures. In some places the plaster and outer mortar of the buildings has fallen away, revealing a wooden under-coat.

Warriston's Close takes its name from Sir Archibald Johnstoun of Warriston, a leading figure in the framing of the National Covenant in 1638. His house, Warriston's Land, was situated on the west side of the close.
