Title
Culloden, Invernesshire
Description
A man and a woman stand outside a thatched cottage with smoke billowing from its chimney. Three other small cottages stand nearby. Down the valley, a large mansion house stands prominent in the landscape with various out buildings visible behind it. The stately manor looks down sloping fields to an expanse of water. Multiple mountains rise up behind the scene.

Item dated 26th July, 1801. The large house in the distance of the image is most likely that of Culloden House. The centre of a very large estate, Culloden House provided a large amount of employment and housing opportunities for the locals of Invernesshire. Most of the current structure dates to the 16th century.
