Description
A view of Stockbridge fire station and police station in Hamilton Place, Edinburgh. Firemen stand outside the wide archway of the fire station. Two are polishing equipment including a metal fireman's helmet. Large roller doors are on either side of the archway. The square windows have stone arched surrounds and a lamp is attached to the roof above the station. To the right stands the police station with two officers in uniform outside. They are wearing helmets, tunics and belts with metal buckles. The police station too has arched window surrounds. To the far right lies Dean Bank Lane.
