Spring Gardens, Stockbridge (renamed North West Circus Place, 1966)
Description
The shops and houses at Spring Gardens, Stockbridge, Edinburgh. Elizabeth Hodge, Tobacconist and Confectioner stands on the corner in the window of which are jars of sweets. Next door is Ian Mitchell Delicatessen whose windows are full of tins, packets and advertising posters.

North West Circle Place is situated roughly half a mile north of Princes Street. Along with the adjacent Royal Circus it was designed by W. H. Playfair and built in the early 1820's.
