A stereographic image of the interior of the ruins of the nave of Holyrood Abbey, Edinburgh. One side of the building is flanked by arcades. There is a window frame with tracery detail at one end. The remains of columns can be seen in the centre.

Holyrood Abbey stands next to Holyrood Palace in Edinburgh. The Abbey was founded by David I in 1128, several hundred years before Holyrood Palace. The Abbey was badly damaged during the Reformation. It was finally abandoned in 1768 after the roof collapsed.
