11.1.19. A.T.21. France.
We passed Lyons during the night & are now ½ way on our journey to La Havre! Last night it was most fearsomely cold & we all nearly perished in the night! This morning, the first glimpse of the outside world we had, was snow & to some of us was it a welcome sight! We are going thru' most flat, uninteresting country - Poplar trees are "the order of the day".

12.1.19. A.T.21. France.
We have now come to our last day in the train & expect to reach Havre this evening. Versailles, we passed, early this morning. To-morrow the Peace Conference meets there, so Versailles will then be the "centre of interest" to all far & near. We are passing thru' such flat country - along by the River Seine all the time. The flooding is terrible, half the country lies under water.
We should shortly reach Rouen.

13.1.19. No. 2 Hospital. Le Havre.
We reached Le Havre last night at 7 o'cl:, bid adieu to the ambulance train & instead of going aboard a hospital ship as we had expected, we were conveyed out here by ambulance transport. This is the "Sick Sisters" Hospital - attached to No.2. General. This is a private house,
