Description
"Germania: 'What, fought ye with them all?'
William: 'All! I know not what ye call all; but if I fought not with fifty of them I am a bunch of radish.'"

The text accompanying this cartoon is 'part of an open letter to the German people, written by the Kaiser late in July 1916, within sound of the Allies' guns on the western front.' The Kaiser appeals to the German people to remain strong and to defend the Fatherland against the 'iron hail of the English, Russian, and African hordes."
