The Old Town Hall and Police Station was built in 1827 by the architects R & R Dickson. There are two different styles here. An Ionic front in Constitution Street contrasts with the Doric porch in Queen Charlotte Street. The interior was enlarged and enriched by James Simpson of Leith 1891. Notice the adjoining late Georgian houses.
