Edinburgh and Scottish Collection
Cramond Island can be reached by a causeway at low tide. It is uninhabited. Most of the structures on the island were built at the outbreak of World War II. The concrete teeth along the edge of the causeway were built to prevent small boats or submarines passing at high tide.
