'V cold ... I'm amazed the tiny shoots of the sweet peas in the sitooterie have not died ... Bird water frozen ...
I don't think the thrush are coming this year ... looking back at the other journals they were always here by now ...
There are ice flowers on the sitooterie windows ... The garden is frozen and white yet the cyclamen and quince buds still thrive!'
