Obverse View of the Amalgamated Engineering Union of Edinburgh Banner
Description
One blue silk banner for the Amalgamated Engineering Union of Edinburgh, with a different painted decoration on each side. The banner's ribbon loops are blue gros grain. Along the top of the banner the fringe is blue and yellow wool. Along the bottom of the banner the title scroll cartouche reads, 'AMALGAMATED - ENGINEERING UNION FOUNDED 1920. The centre panel features a chandelier with the Royal Regalia crown, a sword and sceptre above, and a Y-joint and other pipes below. The chandelier is flanked by two workmen, in blue shirt sleeves and bib aprons, on left, holding tongs and a brass object, on right, holding a file and a brass lamp.
