The text says 'Ship building used to be big in Leith, and this is the work force at Somerville's yard in 1915. Mrs Mary Thomson of Prestonpans, East Lothian, sent in the picture which shows her late husband as a 15-year-old apprentice. He is sitting on the extreme left in the front row. Mrs Thomson, who is 88, remembers well when Leith buzzed to the sound of the shipyards.'
