Description

A scene of a valley stretching into the distance. At its centre runs a winding river banked by green spaces and some trees to its left bank which mark the waters progress through the valley even when the water is not visible. Beyond the tree line stand a range of hills with some rocky formations on their sides. In the foreground of the photograph runs a small track.

The Duchray valley, near Aberfoyle is the site of a network of tunnels and aqueducts which make up part of the pipe line which carries water from Loch Katerine to the city of Glasgow.
