Title
Korrika 2017 - Edinburgh Minority Languages
Description
In this podcast we look at Korrika 2017 and how people perceive minority languages in Edinburgh. This is a baton run which celebrates minority languages - particularly the Basque language - and cultures. It raises money for AEK (Alfabetatze eta Euskalduntze Koordinakundea), an organisation which teaches the Basque language to adults. We learn a bit about the history and significance of Korrika and get to see some of the events. We also hear about the importance of minority languages to different participants and why minority languages and cultures should be preserved and celebrated.
