Description
One coloured certificate for the Edinburgh District SNOP Federal Union. The certificate features a female figure holding a pen and a book, on the cover of which are the words Edinburgh District SNOP Federal Union. The figure is wearing a laurel wreath on her head, a white dress with a red drape and is sitting within a temple structure with the Scott Monument and Edinburgh Castle behind. Surmounting the top pediment of the temple is a female figure with a lion and written on the pediment the words, 'EDINBURGH DISTRICT SCOTTISH NATIONAL OPERATIVE PLASTERERS FEDERAL UNION', below, two cherubs with motto scroll, 'UNITED WE STAND DIVIDED WE FALL', at bottom, two roundels, the left showing plasterers at work in a workroom and on the right, an interior of a hall with plastered details, blue printed lettering, 'This is to certify that Brother----------was admitted a member of the SCOTTISH NATIONAL OPERATIVE PLASTERERS FEDERAL UNION (Edinburgh District) on the ------ day of --------. Secretary------President-------.'.
