Excerpt from page "Holyrood House 1851 - A handsome cope and railing are at present erecting on the site of the old wall that surrounded the east and south sides of Holyrood House.
The building work is far advanced and the metal railing which is to be twelve feet high is said to surpass in elegance anything of the kind to be seen in Scotland " Edinburgh Evening Courant. July 7 1831.
