Description
Letter from the British Red Cross Society, Scottish Branch, City of Edinburgh Committee, V.A.D. and Personnel Committees, 80a Princes Street, Edinburgh dated March 1919:

Dear Madam,
With the early prospect of peace, the Personnel Department of the British Red Cross Society, Scottish Branch, City of Edinburgh Committee, is about to close. I am requested by the Executive Committee to acknowledge with many thanks your kind offer of service under this Society and to express warm appreciation of the work you have done among the sick and wounded. Your name
remains on the permanent records of the Red Cross, on the list of those nurses who have rendered service during the War.

The Bureau to be opened in May in connection with the College of Nursing at 122, George Street, Edinburgh, will supply information regarding posts to all trained nurses whether Members of the College or otherwise.

Believe me,

Yours truly,
Ethel Maxtone Graham

Convener of Personnel Sub-Committee.
