Excerpt from page "Ankerfield Newhaven - To be sold the tenements of land, garden and gardeners house with the Butts of land now called Ankerild lying near Newhaven. As also the tenement of land and pertinent called Catchpool lying in Leithall of which belonged to the deceased Willaim Cruden, shipmaster in Leith and afterwards to William Lowrie, carter there , and William Lowrie his son." Edinburgh Evening Courant October 1773 .
