Description
The cobbled street of Candlemaker Row is lined with tall buildings. A group of girls are playing on the pavement. Many people can be seen on George IV Bridge in the right of the photograph. The building on the corner of George IV Bridge has a sign saying 'John Grant' and 'The Book Hunters' Stall'.

This is a photograph by a member of the Edinburgh Photographic Society.
Candlemaker Row runs from the corner of Forrest Road, outside the National Museum of Scotland, down to the Grassmarket. It travels along the east side of Greyfriars Kirkyard.
