Chovin, Jacques-Antoine
Biography
Jacques-Antoine Chovin was born in 1720 in Basel. Chovin seems to have specialised in topographical engravings, but in 1744 he completed a copy of Matthäus Merian's Dance of Death copperplate series. There are several copies of Chovin's Dance in Central Library's Dance of Death Collection. Chovin died in 1776.
