Six different patterns taken from: 1. The Court of the Lions; 2 and 3: The Hall of the Ambassadors; 4: The Tower of the Captive; 5: The House of Sanchez; 6: The Court of the Fish Pond. These ornaments are a great example of one of Jones' principles: 'To produce repose the lines of a composition should contain in equilibrium the straight, the inclined, and the curved'.
